State Treasurer Curtis Loftis to Speak at Disability Advocacy Day Event at State House
COLUMBIA, S.C. (March 5, 2018) – State Treasurer Curtis Loftis will speak at the 29th Annual Disability Advocacy Day, to be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 7, on the South Carolina State House grounds.
Treasurer Loftis will talk about the growth, significance and impact of theSouth Carolina ABLE Savings Program, which provides tax-advantaged savings accounts for eligible individuals with disabilities.
Disability Advocacy Day is presented by the South Carolina Partnership of Disability Organizations. The goal of the event is to provide a voice for people with disabilities and to educate the public and lawmakers about the many challenges individuals with disabilities face in our state.
