When is Disability Advocacy Day? Disability Advocacy Day 2024 will be held on Tuesday morning, March  5th. Sign-in starts at 9:30 a.m. at The Arc of SC table near the steps. Skip the line and pre-register here.

Where is Disability Advocacy Day? Disability Advocacy Day 2024 will be held on the steps of the SC State House (North grounds), located at 1100 Gervais St. Columbia, SC 29201.

I'd like to speak at Disability Advocacy Day. What do I need to do? If you'd like to speak at the event, please send an email to thearc@arcsc.org to get more information.

I'd like to arrange to speak to my elected officials. How do I find out who represents me, and how do I get in touch with them?  You can find your Senators and Representatives for both the SC State Legislature and US Congress here.

At the last event, there were some issues with the public address (PA) system and some of the guest speakers were difficult to hear. What has been done to resolve this issue? We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience at the last event, but we have addressed the issue and all guest speakers will be heard loud and clear. 

Will there be an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter at the event? Yes, an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be on stage at #DisabilityAdvocacyDaySC interpreting for those who may be hearing impaired.

Where can I find who will be speaking at the event?  Once the speaking schedule has been finalized, we will post it here on our website. We will also have printed copies on each of our vendors' tables, along with a QR code you can scan to view the program on your mobile device.

Is the SC State House wheelchair accessible?  Yes, there is a ramp at the entrance (left of the main State House steps). There is also an elevator available. Visit the SC Legislature online for more information.
